As of June 2024, after twelve incredible years at 215 High Street Northcote, Ziyad made the decision to relocate as a solo operator to 1/10 Langwells Parade Northcote 3070. A light-industrial pocket of the inner north — a room that matches the craft: stripped back, industrial, nothing to hide behind.

The interior is unmistakable: white ribbed corrugated metal walls, black-painted steel columns and beams, polished concrete floors, tall factory windows, vintage black-leather barber chairs, ornate black-framed mirrors on plywood stations, a wall of Kevin Murphy product, abundant foliage, and bold colourful graffiti-style portraits on the walls.

The calm, refined ambiance is designed to make you feel completely at ease — ensuring your time in the chair is as enjoyable and transformative as the results themselves.

The Approach

Ziyad has been in the industry since 2000. His experience has taken him across the globe to London, Los Angeles, Milan, Sicily, New Zealand and Beirut. He's a very confident hair cutter specialising with full transformations, sharp bobs, fresh bangs, any short to long hair, and curls.

His colour specialty ranges from bold creative colouring to worn-in natural looking hair. He is especially passionate about creating rich brunettes and seamlessly blending honey and caramel tones through to blonde for effortless, natural beauty.

Every service is one-on-one with the utmost attention to detail. There is no team, no conveyor belt, no one between you and the master. That is the point of the room, and the point of the appointment.

At Ziyad Salon we will always perform a thorough consultation prior to your service. If the result doesn't present as you discussed, Ziyad Salon will rectify it at no extra charge. If you are unhappy with the result by choice, Ziyad Salon will re-work at the usual pricing rates. *conditions apply

Arrival

Please arrive on time. A maximum of 15 minutes late will be accommodated. Arriving later than this may affect the service that can be delivered.

Cancellations

Cancelling within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a 50% fee of your booking. Please give as much notice as possible so the time can be offered to another client.

New Colour Clients

All new colour clients must call for a scheduled consultation before their first appointment, to ensure your result is planned correctly from the start.

SMS Reminder Service

An SMS reminder is sent to you 3 days prior to your appointment. Reply 'Y' for Yes to confirm, or cancel with 'N' for No. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
